1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve the App.
Information you provide to us
- Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and password when you register and sign in.
- Profile information: any optional details you add to your profile.
- Orders and bookings: details of the cafés, stores, or services you book or order from through the App.
- Payment information: when you make a payment, your payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
- Communications and user content: messages, reviews, ratings, and any content you submit or send to us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and technical information: device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage information: how you interact with the App, features used, and log data such as access times and error reports.
- Location data: precise and/or approximate location, including in the background, as described in Section 2 below.
- Push notification token: a token used to deliver notifications to your device (see Section 4).
2. Location Data
Daif collects device location data, including in the foreground and in the background — that is, even when the App is closed or not in use.
Background location is used to support delivery, order tracking, and location-based order alerts. We only collect background location after you grant the relevant permission, and you can disable it at any time.
We collect and access device location data for purposes including:
- Displaying nearby cafés, stores, and services relevant to your location.
- Supporting order processing, delivery, and order-tracking features.
- Sending order-related alerts and location-triggered notifications.
- Improving your experience and providing personalized recommendations.
- Operational, analytics, and service-optimization purposes.
The App may access location data while the App is in use and, where you have granted permission, in the background to support continuous location-based services and order-related functionality.
Your control over location
You can enable or disable location permissions, including background location, at any time through your device settings. Disabling location may limit certain features of the App, such as showing nearby providers or delivering location-based alerts.
We do not sell your location data. Location information may be shared only with trusted service providers or partners when necessary to operate the App and provide the services you request.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
- Process and fulfill your orders, bookings, and payments.
- Show nearby cafés, stores, and services and personalize recommendations.
- Send you transactional messages, order updates, and push notifications.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the App.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Push Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications to keep you informed about your orders, bookings, and relevant offers. To deliver these, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (a Google service), which processes a device notification token. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Data Deletion & Your Choices
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. To do so, use the account deletion option within the App (if available) or contact us using the details in Section 13. Once we verify your request, we will delete your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services (such as cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, and push notifications) that process data on our behalf. The App may also contain links to or interactions with third-party services that have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
